Get instant updates from school on your in-app notifications

Our new notification features for Exxat Rubix (formerly Talent) help you to stay updated on school activities. You will now receive notifications for the following events:

• A new slot request has been raised by a school.
• A message has been sent by a school.
• Any alterations to a request made by school.
• Scheduling of a student on an approved slot by a school.
• Alterations to a scheduled student made by school.

A notification badge at the top right corner of the page signals new notifications, and each new notification pops up at this spot.

Clicking on the notification badge opens the notification center, showing all notifications from latest to oldest.

Note: You need to enable the notifications from your browser settings, to be able to receive in-app notifications.

Guide to enable the notification settings on different browsers:

Google chrome:

1. Go to your Chrome browser.
2. At the top right corner, click More > Settings or if you’re a Mac user, from the menu bar at the top, select Chrome > Preferences
3. Go to Advanced > Privacy and Security
4. Click Site settings.
5. Click Notifications.
6. Choose to allow notifications

Firefox:

If you’re a Windows user,
1. Click on the hamburger menu icon in the top right corner next to the home icon
2. Select Options > Content
3. Click the ‘Choose’ button next to Notifications
4. Here you can see a list of websites for which you’ve allowed notifications.

If you’re a Mac user,
1. Go to menu, select Firefox > Preferences
2. Go to Privacy and Security
3. Select Settings
4. Click Allow next to the website.  

Safari:

1. Go to Safari in the top menu
2. Select Preferences
3. Go to Websites > Notifications
4. You will find the websites listed out where you can select allow to enable notifications from the website.

Microsoft Edge:

1. Click on the More icon in the top right corner
2. Go to Settings > Advanced
3. Click Manage
4. Click on the website for which you want to enable push notifications
5. Move the toggle to the right to enable notifications

Customize your Notification Preferences

Navigate to the settings menu, by clicking on the settings icon at the bottom left corner of the screen.

Select Notification Configuration under the Notifications sub-menu to see the various events which trigger the notifications.

Here, you can choose which notifications to receive by checking or unchecking the boxes next to specific events. Save your settings to customize the notification system according to your preferences.

View the approved slot information while scheduling a student

On the Schedules and Onboarding screen, you can now view the approved slot information while assigning a student on a particular schedule:

• Details of the approved slot, that is the duration and location for which the slot was approved, are now displayed on the assignment drawer of a particular schedule.
  • If only one location is published for the availability, it will be  auto-assigned in the location field .
  • If multiple locations are published, then you can select the location from the dropdown menu, in which you want to schedule the student.

Select the specific discipline and specialization while scheduling a student

A specific discipline and specialization can now be added while assigning a student to a schedule.

From the drop-down menu, you can assign the appropriate discipline and specialization for the schedule. 

• If only one discipline and specialization is published for that availability, it will be auto-assigned.
• If multiple specializations are present under a discipline, you can click on the down chevron to select the discipline and then select the specializations under it.

Important Update:

We are excited to announce the following changes in our product terminology:

• "Internship" will now be referred to as "Availability."
• "Assignment" will now be referred to as "Schedules."

These updates are designed to enhance clarity and improve your user experience.
